One of the very first Dollop episodes was on Washington’s various mouth problems and dentures, its a fascinating/horrifying/hilarious rabbit hole. If it makes you feel any better (or maybe even a touch sympathetic?), his entire mouth was basically constant, painful liquid rot from his like 30s until he died.

I’m not here defending anything, just adding that most people don’t know where a lot of our myths came from.

I would guess that money wasn’t always a “get out of jail free card” when the technology would only get you so far.
