Stop doing that. Convincing the left to eat iself from the inside out is the easiest way to dismantle us.
I am primarily referring to the amount of hate sent from leftists to AOC and other soc Dems. If you think it is warranted, you need to reanalyze why you feel that way. Was it because of some vague comments or articles you read online? Did you actually come to that opinion yourself? Probably not.
Most of AOC’s critics from the left are either revolutionary Marxists or anarchists, people completely blackpilled on any one of pure reformism, pure electoralism, or Dem entryism, even including people who might have supported Bernie 4 or 5 years ago but learned the correct lesson the first time after 2016 instead of needing him to replicate the failed result under different conditions in 2020. This isn’t the result of disinformation campaigns against DSA members, but people already predisposed to criticize AOC and “democratic socialist” co-thinkers for their incorrect approach might be less skeptical of disinfo which reinforces their pre-existing understanding of that Harringtonite tendency.
After seeing AOC stop making “signature” demands like “abolish ICE” and GND under pressure from neolib party leaders like Pelosi, after hearing about her interning under one of the Kennedys before her bartending job, and after seeing her support Bernie who has had financial ties to the MIC and has voted for American/NATO military interventions (which makes him no better than any of the social-imperialist succdems who voted to launch the first world war and helped the libs kill Rosa!), it’s easier to believe an exaggerated smear story about AOC meeting with regime-change gusanos even if they only briefly took a photo with her. We see that kind of shit and our first thought out of context isn’t “Gusanos tricked AOC into looking like a reactionary”, but “Of fucking course this opportunist Dem-entryist is taking a photo with these gusano counterrevolutionaries”.
