You don’t need the whole workplace to strike, just enough to disrupt the operation, and four out of every ten is certainly enough to do that
if one group of workers is striking to force the other, larger group of workers to get vaccines or be fired, how exactly do you expect that to shake out? strikes work because meeting the demands of the striking workers is less risky for the boss than firing them all. when the choice is instead “fire more workers or fire fewer workers,” the fewer are going to get the shit end of that stick. it’s true that you don’t need an entire workplace or even the majority to make some demands, but this one you kind of do.
