The sharp side on this knife is probably not that sharp, it’s better to hold it further down and support your hand on the can so it doesn’t slip when you’re pushing it hard into the can and hurts you. Plus you get a lever effect
using a knife to cut a can open is a pretty textbook case of extreme carelessness, it really shouldn’t ever be done and it fucks up the edge
