Maybe they were trying to say that online drama isn’t worth paragraphs, and that certain issues seem to warrant the attention. I agree it was insensitive and belittling to you, especially given your earnestness. I’m sorry this site hasn’t necessarily been the haven of online solidarity you might’ve hope to find, I know these sorts of things can be emotionally and cognitively taxing as well as wonderfully rewarding. The bad can outweigh the good, often, as I only periodically check in and when I do there always seems to be some antisolidaristic in-fighting going on. A shame, as good people doing good work toward our shared goals have roamed here and had experiences that soured them to it. IRL it’s tough to maintain organizations and work to keep them from being derailed by wreckers, and the problem is compounded in silica. Love and appreciation to you, comrade.
