You can’t add more notifications until you let people mute threads as well. Let people control what they want to engage with, build the site technology with the right to disengage and protection of comrades in mind, and then a culture of consideration isn’t in conflict with the way the system works.

Yeah, I’m not saying one or the other, just saying that IMO muting options should come before or with expanded notifications for threads

No, and I saw Cass complaining about it in the thread that was the last straw for her. EDIT: I’m wrong she was complaining about the lack of a block user feature.
