I like Vaush, he’s a fuckin’ lib, but he’s one of the good ones that can be pulled even further left as he gets more experience with the system and it’s fuckery. When I was 25-26 I was exactly like him, and I see the path he’s heading down. When he realizes he can’t “bully Biden” the way he seems to think the left will be able to if he wins, and the libs are gonna fight us tooth and nail to the bitter end, he will be more radicalized.

And if he keeps his decent sized and growing platform he can be a VERY valuable asset to the left. I am always in his live chat repping Chapo when he shits on us, lol

Nah, he’s a stubborn idiot and he’s entrenched further and further into being shitty the more people criticize him.

So was I in my mid 20’s lol. I even identified as a libertarian socialist. Though, I didn’t have to deal with thousands criticizing me and watching my every move, so I suppose he could just suck more instead of getting better like I did, lol.

SocDems having a decent sized platform isn’t exactly a new thing. You know what they usually do with that platform, right?

There’s moderates on breadtube that help in pushing people further left. I probably wouldn’t be here without these. A working leftist pipeline needs accessible entry points, there’s definitely value in that. But Vaush just isn’t one to fill that role. He’s an obstacle to radicalization, he reassures libs that they’re left enough, that they can have what they want without fundamentally challenging the core assumptions of late stage capitalist society, that their aims are achievable within burgeoise democracy, and he teaches them to villify and attack those on the left who disagree because “bad optics”.

When you were younger, were you pushed left by people with exactly the same views as you? When you look at the big left-ish youtube channels, they’re usually people who ask questions, who break up assumptions. They may do that with a lib-compatible approach, but they’ll do a little dog whistle or highlight a genuinely lefist idea here and there. They get people thinking, and then these people can move on at their own pace. Vaush doesn’t do that. He tells people what they know already. He stops them from thinking further. He’s the Friedrich Ebert of breadtube.

He doesn’t change his views via self-crit, he entrenches into them. Doing this and being a streamer will only result in him further becoming shit as he refuses to acknowledge faults or change and learn.

He’ll continue to get worse and he’s going to confuse everyone that follows him who isn’t already better read on theory than he is.
