Is the Red Star Caucus like some cool ML contingent of DSA?

Emerge , Red Caucus , and Communist Caucus are also similar. We have a joint publication project called Partisan we’re all working together on.
I’m trying to get more involved first but I want to start one in my city. Also why are these caucuses separate?
Red Star, Emerge, and Red Caucus are all local caucuses for SF, NYC, and Portland. Communist Caucus is a national caucus but most of the members are in CA i believe? You can join the communist caucus if you can get 3 other people to join with you from your chapter and plan out what you’ll be working on.
I was thinking about joining the east bay DSA then the sf DSA, then I heard they weren’t Marxist, then I figured I need to do something , but ML sf seems to be the way
A lot of leadership in SF DSA is actually Red Star caucus members so they actually have a lot of influence in that chapter. Jen is actually also an elected NPC.
