Why can’t people realize en masse that this whole debate over giving people an arbitrary amount of money reveals that the entire economy is made up? We could have been getting $3000 checks every month since the start of the pandemic if the government really gave a shit.

As if like, the USD isn’t a complete fiat currency that doesn’t really exist, and that the entire debt isn’t literally a made up number used to beat us over the head with. We get the same shit in Canada too with people bitching about how CERB and stuff was a step too far, but when you recommend UBI they flip shit.
