Unlikely. Substance abuse can also cause psychotic symptoms and schizophrenia in most cases tends to present by early adulthood. Also you don’t see so many schizophrenics in academia or similar jobs not because of the psychosis but because of the negative symptoms which tend to endure to some extent even when the hallucinations and delusions are under control.
Either way it doesn’t matter other than how it would be wrong to attribute the terrible shit he says to mental illness. Not saying that’s what you’re doing but schizophrenic or not it’s irrelevant to most conversations about the guy.
