I know that some teams are competing are for points, and one team will get more points and win the game. Hope the team I like gets more of the points!

Football is legit the most boring ass sport ever. Some dudes play red rover for six fucking hours, moving inches closer towards the Point-Zone or whatever, and almost every damn time they just run the ball into the big line of red rover dudes. Once in a blue fucking moon they run around the line, or throw the ball over, but then usually just get jumped on by some other fucking dude, and the rest of the time they just fucking stand there yelling “BLUE 42” or whatever. Nothing goddamn happens.

Also it’s a fucking concussion fest out there. I don’t care for sports in general but football is particularly dumb. Go watch actual football like real humans in the rest of the world do you fucking Yankee scum.

Watching football solo is generally boring unless you have the money on the game. The drawn-out formula works really well when you’re watching with a bunch of people though.

It really isn’t. Games last for three to four hours, but the commercials can make it boring af. However, the strategy is so compacted and complex from an individual player and coaching level you can spend an entire day breaking down an entire game, play-by-play, position-by-position. There really is nothing else like it.

Compare this to baseball, which is incredibly simplistic even when it comes to it’s complex strategies. World football is not as simplistic, strategy wise, but I find it to be boring compared to similar sports such as hockey, basketball, or (my personal favorite) hurling, simply because of how low scoring it is and how large the field is. If you want my real preference though, it’s rugby everytime.

Football is not dumb, it’s really difficult to play. It is simply run by capitalist idiots and fine with incredible brutality.

This is kinda how I feel. I never go out of my way to watch sports but if I’m at a bar and sports are on I tend to watch. Thanks to Covid I haven’t watched any sports in a year lmao.

As someone that has watched like three games of american football, i feel like the sport would be way more enjoyable to me if it weren’t so fucking tediously drawn out. Say what you want about rugby, or hell, even soccer, but at least there’s something going on at all times.

I’m not gonna argue that there aren’t far superior sports (including real football lol). I always just find the “I’m not like other guys - I hate sports” routine a little grating. Like it’s cool for people to not dig sports, or any particular sport, but making it into a “thing” is cringe, like militant athiesm lol

Tbh, one day a year is fine for venting, when something big happens in football and everyone discusses it at a work all day, I can see how it would be annoying
