Just got off the phone with the HR lady.

I shocked them by asking double my pay, Going hard on this one, cause even if I dont get it, I have set the playing field, but also I have more leeway to settle on literally anything better than what I’m making right now.

Unfortunately the HR lady is out of the office. so this ultimately went nowhere until the “let me talk to the VP and we’ll see what we what we can do” thing happens. Then I have a sales guy call me to ask questions pertaining to new clients coming in, and I’m doing everything I can to squeeze out any rate information to arm myself.
