I’m going to need to get, like, queue cards for some of these.

Hong Kong guy, I got. Wan Gusano I got. Totally missed the other two.

Navelney (sp?, Russian) and Yaku Perez of Ecuador. Yaku ran as a “leftist” alternative to Arauz, who was a Correa loyalist. Yaku lost in the first round of elections. He had also said that if he had to choose between Arauz and Lasso, ghoul banker who proceeded to the second round of voting, he’d rather the banker win than the other leftist candidate.

Yikes.

Also, lolz at Navelny. NPR wouldn’t shut up about him for months, but now he’s completely fallen off the radar.

My understanding was that he caused his own “Bernie or bust” type effect which suppressed left wing turnout, allowing Lasso to win.

(I haven’t been following this super closely so I could be wrong)
