It’s wild to me that the largest local protest I’ve seen- not BLM, not Medicare for All, not climate change, not anti-vax or pro-choice or any of the other recent issues- was 100-ish university students spontaneously protesting for Palestine and chanting that Biden is guilty of genocide.
The democrats are really underestimating how badly their zionism will backfire. Like hell would I ever vote for one who isn’t vocally pro-Palestine now.
Maybe something to do with the fact that so many innocent Palestinians are being killed despite the media calling it a “Israel-Hamas” war that have no connections to Hamas. I know that it changed the minds of a few liberal-minded family members, even before this so-called war even started
This is probably my favorite sentence published by the media so far. Al Jazeera pulls no punches.
Gaza is home to some 1.7 million refugees who were ethnically cleansed from areas that now form part of Israel.
I would offer one criticism “ethnically cleansed” is just a polite euphemism for genocide.
Not necessarily. Genocide is the mass murder of a particular group. Ethnic cleansing is the removal of a particular group from an area. Now, you absolutely can ethnically cleanse an area through genocide, but you can also warn them to leave the area “for their safety” and once they’re out never let them come back.
Lmao dude that’s still genocide you have no fucking clue what you are talking about.
They are closer to the age group that isntrael is murdering than the boomers, and boomers are self-absorbed sociopaths that can’t imagine other people and their humanity.
This is my daily reminder that Gen-X, the parents of Gen-Z, are not boomers. For context, Gen-X are the kids in Stranger Things and Boomers are the adults (went to 'Nam, was a Wall Street cocaine yuppies, yadda, yadda, yadda).
You are not wrong. I accidentally lump anyone older than gen z into boomer category all the time. My bad
It’s fine. We’re the latchkey kid generation that’s used to being ignored.
You could probably make the same distinction between who does and doesn’t watch cable news
