I’m in my 40s. Worked for the most part full time since I was 16 except for like three years when I stayed home with the kids. I’m lucky cuz my ‘husband’ works full time too. So we’re Mostly fine money wise. Of course I’m starting to forget what he looks like, but that’s the price of capitalism, right…?

I’m 32. I’ve had a steady job since I was 15. I did odd jobs like mowing lawns before then. My longest stretch at a job was 9 years. It took me until I was 30 to buy a house, and that was only because I have a really great partner that was willing to buckle down and play the game long enough so we could homestead.

Still living paycheck to paycheck though

My first jobs were when I was a teenager, but my life path so far has been pretty winding. Working then college then working then unemployed then the military and now college again. I’ve been lucky to be cushioned from the worst possible outcomes because my mom is upper middle class and more than willing to help me out, but the period when I was in the military is the only period in my adult life when I had healthcare and enough money to save because every other job I’ve had has been for $12/hr or less (way less when I worked as a teenager, or when I worked in theatre).
