Yes, the framing is meant to concede by default that Israel only seeks to destroy Hamas and that doing so doesn’t also mean the destruction of Gaza and the 2M+ people (1M children).
I make sure to only call it “Israel’s genocide of Gaza” or “Israel’s genocide of Palestinians”
