It still pains me how much I revered those shitbags when I was younger. Harris could never explain anything without resorting to an analogy and Dawkins is just so stupid.
I am a bit older, so a bit more mature during my run in with new atheism. I can credit myself with seeing through sam Harris’ bullshit as a fucking dweeb, but I revered hitches. Dawkins seemed like a lightweight to me; but a net positive….

I have to agree with Michael Brooks that Hitchens may have been a scumbag, but he was way smarter than someone like Sam Harris, who is a complete dunce in comparison. I think Dawkins has actually written some fairly important stuff before he got too much boomer brain, but it’s been years since I read him.
