It’s quite genius, as population age, middle class can invest into becoming diffuse landlords, completely mentally separating themselves from the system’s inherent violence, and drink blood of young workers freely, without guilt.
The universe has two perpetual truths:

- Tankies are always right.
401ks are also this. Stocks go up because people don’t get paid and companies can pump dividends and buybacks at the shareholders. So you work for low wages when your 401k is going up because you’re spending a portion of your own paycheck to pay the rich for a sliver of their assets so you can retire.
