Interesting list. Im not sure what the similarities are between these countries. Seems sort of like nonsense, especially with the crusader flag.

They gave up on Venezuela so easily lol

Oh yea! What happened? Do they think Venezuela is all good now? Or maybe they’re just taking a break from working on them.

But seriously, who are these people? Are these Belarussians a bunch of pro-western liberals cheering on the counterrevolutionaries? Or is there something more nefarious going on?

And now, I’ve got to look up Ecuador. Last I heard, it had already gone the way of Brazil.

Totally not a color revolution guys, they just yearn for freedom…

Edit: OP was a little vague on the flag, so I dug a little, found a pintrest post that seems to categorize it as the “Belarus Nationalists Flag”

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/286189751299722225/

And wikipedia mentioning that the rider is apparently “the official emblem of the Belarusian Democratic Republic in 1918” which “was a failed attempt to create a Belarusian state on the territory controlled by the German Imperial Army during World War I.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pahonia

Seems like these freedom loving demonstrators are right-wingers yearning for the past when they were under imperial rule.

Very cool and very normal… where have I heard this before :thinking face:

More relevant than any of that, it was the official flag of Belarus from 1991 to 1995 when Lukashenko changed it right after taking office. Pretty obvious symbol to use in an anti-Lukashenko uprising.

Thanks for this, tried searching for the name of the “Republic of Belarus” couldn’t really figure out if it was meaningfully different from the old imperial state (there have been many variants of this name in belarus history and I don’t really trust wikipedia pages for countries under regime change operations), this probably makes my speculation about their political affiliation bunk.

They’re probably just libs using a list of the most well known freedom struggles in western media to appeal to westerners.

Thanks! I honestly had no idea what it was. Just the knight with a cross on the shield seemed very suspicious.

Although, the main giveaway was Bolivia missing from the list. If anyone is trying to be in solidarity with people fighting for their freedom around the world right now, Bolivia is high on the list.

That’s the biggest giveaway that something was off. Bolivia should be the first country to support for a movement about freedom. Usually you see Palestine on the list too.
