It’s not because they’re “immature” or anything like that, and it’s not a diss on anyone who still likes them, it’s just that I tried to watch a new video of theirs and it just didn’t hit me like it used to.
It’s similar to what happened with me and the Nostalgia Critic (Tho admittedly with significant differences): I was a pretty big fan early on and for several years, but over time just fell off, started watching them more sporadically, before kinda just not keeping up with the new stuff anymore.
Nothing has ever made me laugh as hard as when they had to fight silver the hedgehog in that one playthrough
I’ve had similar feelings. The last series they did that I enjoyed was the Danganronpa one. I think the fact that they keep playing these fucking boring-ass game-show games is also turning me off. Part of me feels like neither of them really want to do it any more, but don’t want to give up the gravy train (fair enough). I wish they’d do more multi-part series again, maybe play some whole games, etc.
The only time I have ever seen game grumps was when them playing danganronpa popped up on my feed. I’ve known they existed for like a long time but never bothered with their content.
i’ve been a fan for a way way shorter amount of time, but I’ll admit I have a boom and bust relationship with the channel. certain types of games I can watch them play for hours on end, others bore me to death
I watched them a lot from 2013-2016.
Then I binge watched their Paper Mario play through and some other stuff in like 2018, but I haven’t really watched them since.
After awhile it just feels weird to go back to watching something you haven’t in awhile, idk if anyone else feels like that.
I have a pretty similar timeline, idk why but paper Mario was just super entertaining, also loved to watch their sonic playthroughs. I think after a while there’s only so much they can talk about and I got tired hearing the same two people with the same two perspectives on life. It’s good to find fresh content
