In Cold Blood

Well not really fiction but whatever

The Forever War is excellent, brisk, anti-war, hard science fiction.

The devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino, it is about a battle of wits between a Japanese Physicist detective and a genius Mathematician.

It is not as anime as I made it sound (it is not anime at all I would say)- it is a murder mystery (the ‘twist’ was pretty neat) and has a decent emotional core to it. It also has the kind of melancholic vibe I really like. It is ofc not some deep high art. But I did like it quite a bit.

I’ve been reading Agatha Christie, and if you can get past the casual racism and sexism her books are really good reads.
