it’s quite obviously a sickening use of the struggles of the homeless as a fun game to make profit off of that does nothing to help those facing these real challenges. from the steam page, it also looks like it does nothing to talk about the material and structural reasons people go homeless
Most of this seems ok but I’m confused about the “King of the Homeless” part. Just… why is that a thing?
it’s just like the end game goal/reward you get for helping everyone out with quests. It’s more like “Protector/Guardian” than the majestic “follow my decree” king shit. After delivering food and sleeping bags to every rough sleeper in town you probably would be king of the homeless.
it’s an alright rpg/base builder. unique setting for sure, and you have to deal with difficulties like finding a place to shit and shower and getting depressed. I’d say the homeless characters are portrayed quiet fairly tbh it’s not like a gross dehumanizing depiction if that is what you are expecting.
