Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women, including employees, New York attorney general finds
The first couple paragraphs
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women, including employees in his office, and violated state and federal laws, according to the findings of an investigation by the state’s attorney general’s office.
The investigation found that Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women current and former state employees —one of whom is a New York State Trooper. It also found the governor and his team retaliated against a former employee for coming forward.
Edit 1
CNN just said “We’re going to hear from Governor Cuomo at the top of the hour.”
Edit 2
Governor Pasta going to fight this like hell but he’s totally fucked…
NYAG’s Cuomo report, by the numbers:
165 pages (not counting title pages)
179 interviews
11 complainants
74,000 pieces of evidence
1,371 footnotes
Jfc 74,000 pieces of evidence? I half way expect literally nothing to come of this, cause that’s just the world we live in.
:guts-rage:
“Heeyyyyyyyyy, we got a firewall. The meatballs never touch the spaghetti.”
“What did the victims do in response?”
I’m so sick of politics period. This is like the “one of our faves” Epstein tweet made by a Pelosi daughter. I’m starting to wonder if Cuomo can actually survive this.
This Epstein case is horrific and the young women deserve justice. It is quite likely that some of our faves are implicated but we must follow the facts and let the chips fall where they may - whether on Republicans or Democrats.
Honestly I think that’s a fair tweet IMO. You don’t always know something about a person especially not media figures/politicians. Heck there are people who get shocked by their family members being predators just cause they aren’t around 24/7.
There’s a really good chance that multiple people I currently look up to are sex pests in some form but I don’t currently know it.
People over the age of ~40 or so simply take sexual harassment as a standard part of life because they were largely raised in a time when it wasn’t as heavily policed, or it was even encouraged.
might be true but the rules are the rules. its weird to me that any of that has to come into the debate. the rules dictate you cant do that to your employees, but folks have to question it.
People don’t care about rules and usually don’t know what they are. They know what “they know” or “they feel”, and that usually doesn’t change much after a certain age. Rampant sexual harassment was the norm for years and years, so it’s mentally hard for them to get outraged over it.
That would be the greatest thing ever. He did what even Trump wouldn’t do.
This is the one instance I would have defended police brutality.
