this post kinda makes me want to have a red cap with a gold star like the Vietnam flag, but doesn’t seem like there’s many quality sellers for that item

what you can do is get a red hat with a white star (much easier to find) and then use latex or acrylic paint to make the star gold.
i did this with a black hat / white star to make it black with a red star. just take your time, use a little brush, and don’t forget to have fun.

I don’t really have a dog in this fight I haven’t worn a ballcap since middle school, but arbitrarily moving the goalposts of chuddery to include all red caps serves nobody and just makes people feel more monitored for no reason.
