Unsurprising i suppose. Still interesting to see.

I wonder what explains some of the outliers. There’s a 250k person municipality that voted almost 70% trump yet has over 70% vaccination.

Love how almost everywhere is well below the herd immunity target :amerikkka-clap:

It’s total population though. That includes people who can’t be vaccinated like immunocompromised and children.

My guess is the outlier that voted heavily Trump but also has a high vaccination rate is a retirement community or one with a high concentration of seniors. Most old MAGA people still got the shot, it’s the younger and middle-age ones who are turning it down.

My guess was just rich well-educated people. Might not follow Q or vaccine conspiracies but vote for Trump just because they think it’ll be better for their net worth or taxes or regulations or whatever.

Yeah I agree with this.

Also I think older people are generally much less anti vax because they remember the success of the polio vaccine

I hope everyone remembers when they’re getting the COVID-19 (often referred to as the China Virus) Vaccine, that if I wasn’t President, you wouldn’t be getting that beautiful ‘shot’ for 5 years, at best, and probably wouldn’t be getting it at all. I hope everyone remembers!

I just do not understand these people.

Neat, it says they ban speculating about its origin but all the top posts from the last month are speculation about its origin.

They rich

Yep, rich and old was my guess for that outlier. Self preservation seems to win out against politics with the older folks

Must be areas dense as fuck with care homes and the like. They’re under near-24 hour medical coverage, quite good med cover at that, and were first in line for all the jabs.

Or there’s voter suppression out the ass. The voting population isn’t the same as the population who can get vaccinated.

People who vote are more likely to be vaccinated in general because they are older, whiter, richer.
