I go back and forth a lot between thinking people are losing faith in U.S. systems in record time, and thinking that I’m making up libidinal fantasies and overestimating the speed or extent of that loss of faith.
So what do you all think?
God I want it to, but seemingly no amount of misery can get past being “background noise” for tons of people in the US. It seems like we won’t get a satisfying collapse, just a slow, constant decline. I thought the riots last summer were the signs of people having enough, but god fucking damn the liberals all to hell, they are amazing at redirecting people’s outrage into performative bullshit and electoral drives instead of revolutionary change.
never underestimate the average american’s ability to lap up watery gruel and call it good as long as folks with a darker skin shade than them are even worse off
It’s easy to ignore that society is crumbling around you when you can order a pizza to your air conditioned apartment, crack open a case of cheap beer and play video games/watch porn or YouTube all day.
:side-eye-1: :side-eye-2:
People on these kinds of websites keep saying this, and it keeps not happening. Recent history suggests this is libidinal fantasy.
The seeds are being planted, but I don’t think we’re anywhere close to the US state collapsing. I doubt it’ll be within this decade or next.
Don’t the majority of Republicans already think any election won by the Democrats is due to rampant electoral fraud? Legitimacy isn’t the issue, it’s whether or not people have the will to sacrifice their physical safety in a struggle for something better, and the simple fact is they don’t. Whether it’s God Emperor Trump or CCP shill Sleepy Joe, at the end of the day they can drive their Hummer to an Applebee’s and yell at a waitress, so what does it really matter who’s in charge? So long as the flow of treats remains interrupted, Americans are never going to revolt in any meaningful sense.
Unfortunately no, but the brainworms are hard at work. He’s a CCP shill in the same sense that Trump was working for the Kremlin.
