Do you ever think about how it’s called dusting instead of de-dusting?
I didn’t but now I’m going to stumble over that phrase for the rest of my life as my mouth says it the right way and my brain tells me it’s wrong.
Unless… @simply_surprise@lemmygrad.ml when you dust, do you dust or do you dust? That could explain things.
You need to lick it all up
We invested in a roomba-style robot that has actually been fantastic. Less for the “I am lazy and don’t want to hoover my flat” and more for its ability to reach places I can’t easily. Keeps under the sofa/bed/etc pretty tidy. Also change the A/C filter regularly never hurts.
When’s the last time that you changed your furnace filter?
If you don’t have access to that, you tape a filter to a box fan to purify the air. Or go for broke and get a dyson filter / heater.
Also take a moist cloth and wipe down everything once a week, then sweep/mop your floor.
I vacuumed under the bed this week. Highly recommend it but maybe close your eyes so you don’t see how much dust is actually under there!

i found a decomposing dead mouse under my bed once. i have no idea how, but it didnt smell at all.
