Yep seems that way. I’m in an area where the hospitals have been at capacity for a while now and I’m pretty worried about what it will be like when omicron hits.
No one is doing anythign to prepare or try to slow it down, either. They have to be deliberately letting it all hit us at once, right? Try to have everyone keep things open until we can’t, then open everything back up a month later and say “we did it!”
I’m convinced I got it in like April 2020 when I had this really annoying persistent cough out of nowhere for like three weeks. In a part of the country where it was literally impossible to buy masks at the time, so I just had to take my chances and I probably had a mild case.

basically nobody can do that but spreading less/getting less viral load is supposed to be good
