I actually kind of want this to be a thing just because motherfuckers keep getting in my space all day, despite us being in the worst straights we have been in since covid started in my area.
Just today I was talking to some dude and he kept getting up close to talk. I would take a couple steps back and before you knew it he would close the gap. (With no mask.) By the end of the convo we had probably moved a good 30 feet from where we had started.
This would quickly devolve into everyone using red, and still hugging people regardless, as they don’t want to hug some people, and want to have plausible deniability
plausible deniability
Even before covid there were so very few people I’d want to hug or even worse get hugged by.
And now in this never-ending covid reality somebody saying “Do you want a hug?” makes me think of a horror movie. If somebody said that and a highly talented actor happened to be watching - he would turn green with envy at my involuntary gestures and facial expressions.
I would be silently screaming: “I do not want a hug. I’d prefer you waterboard me in an N95 mask…”
this one is very good as it is so mad on so many levels…the marking people out part … … the silent workplace - plausible - denialbility - seeking this implise for a “return to normal” mindset … the “fashion /lifestyle” angle it … the new york times pushing it…
