Yeah, their “I’m done” is basically a “Well, fuck it then, I don’t care anymore” which is why they accept COVID as the new normal, they don’t care anymore about it, if they get it fine if they don’t even better, if their friends get it well it’ll be “thoughts and prayers” for them and that’s it. They have given up, surrendered, they conceded defeat.
But they’re not conceding defeat to COVID, because the virus is just that, a virus, it’s not a living thing that has it’s own agenda or anything. They’ve given up to power, those who are in complete control of this situation and so far has given zero fucks about the pandemic, those who hoard all the wealth and want to hoard even more, those you demand you get your ass back to work and force you to risk getting the damn virus every day, every hour and every minute, your sacrifice for them is worth money and money is good. To me, there is no difference between anti vaxx hogs and “I just give up” liberals, they’re equally shit, they don’t care for the working class and they never will, libs at least pretended they cared for a while but it was a farce, they sold us out rather quickly.

Chuds deny it exists, libs recognise its existence but refuse any actions beyond the symbolic because doing something about it would be too disruptive to capitalism and to their liefstyles. Ofc, as with the entire pandemic this ignores the current situation (one of the worst peaks of the pandemic), that a very large proportion of Americans are in a high risk group, and that uncontrolled covid waves have second order effects when hospitals fill up. Also, she ignores that she essentially parrots the views of the white house and every mainstream media outlet to sell herself as some anti-woke heterodox thinker.
