Not sure if this was posted here or not, I guess it doesn’t really matter because it’s just more racist Reddit bull, but if you feel like spiking your blood pressure then check out this top of /r/all unpopular opinion post from yesterday " I’m so fucking tired of being forced to care about everything all at once " which is literally some white dickhead mad he has to care about black people and brown people and Trump and coronavirus.
The poster/commenters then claim it’s toxic to suggest that this view is, charitably, White Privilege. The fact that because they are (statistically speaking) some coder from a white suburb means they can look away from the horror and trauma of our white supremacist capitalist society. They don’t have to live with it every day. And that’s to say nothing of the ravages of imperialism abroad. Is it so hard to care? To just have a little empathy for your fellow man?
One of the commenters straight up says they’re “not going to go out and march for black lives” as if that’s such a burden and that they “have my vote” as if that matters. Surely the ultimate failure of the black liberation movement, the fact that black people faced a century of Jim Crow and three centuries of slavery, the fact that black people are still so oppressed today is proof that voting won’t change anything.

one of my favorite things in those chud threads on Reddit about the Kenosha shooting is them making fun of one of the victims for shouting “medic!” and claimed that this dude who got shot trying to stop a murderer was a LARPer who’d played too much COD.
The reason I like that is because there are literally medics at these protests, and it just makes the chuds look as absolutely dumb as possible. It’s like criticizing someone who was just in a car crash for pulling off to the side of the road and flipping their hazards on. It’s just what you do in that situation.
