in this moment of division and indecision, one man rises up to save us: :guaido:
It’s gonna be DeSantis. Jesus fuck that idea is so scary I so hope I’m wrong
DeSantis sure is trying to make it that way. You can already see the GOP getting ready to throw Trump under the boss though. McConnell has been doing some weird shit lately and it looks like he’s got some insider info about what the January 6th probe is gonna end up releasing
meh he’s no different from Trump or Biden.
The only types of dudes I’m truly scared about are those with NazBol affects like Tucker.
I disagree, although I would be a bit more afraid of Tucker than DeSantis if he was currently a politician. But Trump is a fucking moron, and Biden is a neolib. DeSantis is an intelligent, ideologically committed fascist.
Trump bungled the covid response because he’s a petulant child who doesn’t care or try. Biden bungled it at the tired whims of Capital. DeSantis did it to try and kill as many poor people as he could.
Trump and Biden are awful, but I’m not worried about either of them literally rounding up people of opposing ideologies into full on concentration camps in the open. DeSantis would 100% do that the moment he thinks he can get away with it. He’ll probably call it like the “Protection from Wokeness Act” or something
I’ll say it again: nazbols are a meme. They don’t exist outside of Russia. Their entire shtick is that they’re fascists with Russian characteristics. That shit doesn’t fly else where. Any time someone labels themselves a nazbol and you can understand what they’re writing because it’s in Latin characters and not Cyrillic, they’re terminally online larpers with the same energy as the 8chan losers that take pics of their figurine jars.
Ah, back on topic though, Truckers just a fascist adapted to the American condition. So just a plain bowtie wearing nazi asshole
this is true for maybe every election
even a popular president doesn’t have 100% support
GOP isn’t even going to run primaries for the presidency in some states, even though they are entitled to.
Since political parties and the primary process were never mentioned in the Constitution - like in most other countries - US political parties have taken it upon themselves to do everything possible to concentrate power in as few hands as possible. The Democrats and Republicans have developed into public/private hybrids where states are legally required to pay for political primaries or caucuses but the political parties don’t have to accept the results at the national level. Would it be politically wise to reject a slate of delegates from a state? Maybe, but no federal law requires a political party to abide by them.
If the DNC wanted to pick their candidates out of hat at the national convention or hold a Jello wrestling contest there is nothing stopping them.
The government is becoming illegitimate because it never delivers on its portion of the social contract but it has an iron grip on the stick to discipline us into line it’s hard to imagine where this is going. History says a man on horseback should arrive within the next 50 years to synthesize these contradictions a la Napoleon
