Last night I dreamed that there was a whole thread taking me to task for minor factual errors I’d inadvertently made in my Hexbear posts, and shit got so bad the admins reinstated downvotes. This AFP / Facebook thing is just the tip of the iceberg, people.
Who didn’t see this coming with fact checking? The Trump people and covidiots don’t care if they’re wrong, and it can prevent forbidden facts from being spread.
I remember Kyle Kulinski going off about this when Alex Jones got deplatformed. He was like “this is just a pretext for making corporate platforms able to police political speech and it will almost immediately be used against the left”. Pretty soon after they banned a bunch of lefty Facebook pages as well as It’s Going Down
