I love how they had to color code the correct answers in case the reader also didn’t know where Ukraine is.

How are people genuinely this ignorant? I can see getting it a bit wrong. If I had a map with no borders and had to click Ukraine I might end up clicking in Belarus or Russia or somewhere close, but like how do people think Ukraine is in Australia, or the middle of the ocean?

back in 2014 when this came out, i would have said the two people picking australia either meant that as a joke or misclicked. nowadays, i’m not so sure anymore. and all those dots in india* definitely aren’t a joke or accident either way. there’s just too many of them.

*edit: or china, or brazil, or FOR FUCKS SAKE WHAT HAS GREENLAND EVER DONE TO YOU STUPID BASTARDS srs this just keeps getting worse and worse the longer i look

Even with no borders drawn, it would have been ridiculously easy to pick Ukraine out for anyone paying the slightest attention because the conflict was in the Crimean Peninsula which is a very recognizable feature. It would be like picking out Florida or Greenland.

Wow then there’s literally no excuse. Unless they are interviewing literal children.

If they flee to Moab, Utah, the (failing) NYT (Amazon) Washington Post may have to change the color code on that dot.

Something like 15 people guessed Ukraine was an American state and several people put a marker in the ocean
