I skimmed through the past week’s KCNA broadcasts but couldn’t find this clip. It might be released from a different source than KCTV Bodo. Sky and NBC have both also published the video as an official release rather than some kind of parody: https://news.sky.com/video/kim-jong-un-in-new-intercontinental-ballistic-missile-missile-propaganda-film-in-north-korea-12574663 (edit:) and the AP- https://youtu.be/dDu8Sz8SIhI
There’s one propaganda video where they supposedly used Skyrim music https://youtu.be/wKC0vB5PfNY
Damn, bet Kim felt fucking awesome taking those pics
They’re fucking with western social media right? This is obviously self aware. Or are you implying that this is an op and DPRK didn’t make it?
It’s so over the top compared to most of the KCTV footage I’ve seen that I wanted to make sure it wasn’t edited by western pig-dogs before posting. It seems to be genuine but I also don’t know the specific original source to confirm that.
I genuinely think he’s leaning into the “rocket man” thing Trump did and that someone should dub this with the Rocket Man by Elton John.
In the same vein as me never seeing them make a theatrical trailer, I’ve never seen North Korean media do parody or satire. They’ll play child-oriented cartoons with jokes but I watch a lot of KCTV to pull clips and even on the full 8 hour streams I don’t think I’ve ever seen an anchor laugh more than a polite chuckle or an obviously comedic clip play. Either would have been footage I’d save immediately for a video of my dog spinning in a circle sucking his own dick. I also don’t speak Korean so it’s purely on visual and body language grounds there.
edit: And while the editing is new, it’s the general template for how a Kim Jong-un story goes. He’ll visit a thing, offer suggestions, generals take notes, and then footage of the subject plays. This is more or less how they cover him touring a factory. With the second video including an extra scene of all three of them checking their watches, I’m not sure which of them if either of them is a parody of the other. In general I’m missing the original broadcast to try to figure out what the context of its presentation was.
it’s on RT, and if anyone is looking for RT’s “youtube” channel, even though it’s completely blocked by youtube:
