Yes, this is the real key right here. With Bezos and Gates and the like even smart people can look at them and see a superhuman Randian titan of industry. They can project an image of someone who built a great empire with only their enormous intellect and business prowess. Trump despite failing over and over again (and being obviously a fucking moron) has only gotten richer and more powerful over the course of his life.
