Spreading a little love and positivity on this killer Tuesday morning. Plants are finally blooming and there is no need for any layers outside today! Anything cool and exciting going on for you?

Saw my doc this morning, plan is to be off phenibut completely in a few weeks - down to 1.5g/day now, down from 9. Had an EKG done that came back with good results. In cooler news, band is booking our first tour! Gonna head out east.

Sending love, good vibes, and solidarity to all :soviet-heart:

I love my new job! Turns out I really enjoy working with data . As I expected, I kinda have to say goodbye to a lot of my hobbies for a bit, so that’s a bit sad.

It’s pretty fun to be honest, especially because it’s a small company, my tasks are all over the pipeline, and I’m free to just work at them as I please. I take priority levels into account of course, but I’m new as hell so the stakes aren’t that high for anything of course. I even managed to sneak in some front-end work today when I started adding a feature to an internal tool.

Never thought I’d have it this good tbh.

In the process of moving into and living in my grandparents house, and setting up a vegetable garden. I tried starting seeds in some damp paper towel until I got enough starter pots and got worried when it’d been a few days with no sign of life, but I looked today and literally all of them have little roots forming. The goal is to grow more than I could possibly need and give away/preserve the rest to build up a sort of community-wide free pantry, since the nearest grocery store is nearly an hour’s drive away and inaccessible to a lot of people here due to low income and isolation.

If anyone has any ideas/information on how to start a small library/book club/afterschool tutoring program that’d be useful too. My mom volunteers as a board member for our community centre that is really desperate for people to actually go and participate in stuff there, so I’d probably have a space to host it.

I’m pretty much just brainstorming at this point. Food insecurity and lack of education are two of the biggest problems here (I know multiple people who don’t know how to read and most kids around here are at a lower reading level for their age compared to the rest of the country iirc) when it really doesn’t have to be. This community is small enough that a handful of people could have a huge effect, someone just needs to do the organizing

Wait Holy shit I’m living the plot of stardew valley, when do the junimos show up

There’s a :kelly: joke here somewhere

And thanks!! Good luck with your tour, I went on a small local one with my friends band as “the guy with a covered truck” a few years back and it was a lot of fun!! I hope it’s a great one!

I assure you, any pun was unintentional. And thanks! Yeah, I’ve only done one once before with my punk band, and I remember that booking it was miserable. That seems to not have changed at all.
