lol the democrats already control the senate and the house
Is this what they decided to go with to whip up voters in November instead of forgiving student debt? Holy shit this is what they’re gonna do, they’re gonna dangle reproductive rights over us and then not pass full protections it even if they win so they can deliver nothing and still call it a day. Theyre giddy this is fucking happening :matt-jokerfied:
instead of forgiving student debt
I know it’s purely theoretical but Biden could also legalize wacky-tobacky.
but no you see :traingang: 's legalization bill in VA didn’t win the dems the governor’s race so obviously no reason to legalize if it doesn’t deliver gratitude votes. nevermind that legalizing without retail is dumb as shit esp if used as a way to dangle “future votes” for more dems
Democrats cannot fail, they can only be failed. So what if the democrats had 50 years of opportunities to codify basic fucking rights into law? That isn’t their fault, it’s your fault for not voting hard enough.
FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! x 100,000
. A million might not even be enough.
Sigh.
you need such a big majority to get any bill passed that it’s basically never going to happen.
the US political system is explicitly designed to stop things from getting done under ridiculous notions of checks and balances that really equate to masses of red tape. Mainly this is because the formation of the united states was only intended to be a means of paying off the debt for the revolutionary war and paying the continental armies pensions so the american state literally wasn’t designed to be capable of running a country.

Have never heard that before, do you happen to have some reading I could do on it?
Didn’t George Washington only side with the revolutionaries because he was balls deep in debt and wouldn’t be able to collect on people who owed him money if there was no system in place to enforce it?

there was an issue in that Virginia was the only state with the money to pay so the others needed their help paying for the war. As a result all the states formed one entity that could pay the debt
