Homemade hummus is great and so easy to make. It’s also way cheaper to make it. This will last me through the weekend :bloomer:

Nice. My partner and I make a giant batch once every couple of weeks, like 1.5L-2L. It’s a great :im-vegan: hack to have things like that around that go on everything and just add a little more protein to your day.

I’ve got really good at it. I think the secret is too much tahini and too much garlic

Never can have too much garlic. It’s impossible

What’s tahini besides ground-up roasted sesame seeds?

I just looked up a video on making it and yeah it really is just that, some oil, and a bit of salt. Maybe I’ll try to make my own next time :thinkin-lenin:

I’ve heard that toasting the seeds is a pain in the ass so be ready to try a couple times.

When I lived in a nice communal housing project we had 2 types of self made spread (often hummus and something else), was perfect since it would always be used and was nice to prepare.

Nice! Hummus goes with so much, so it’s nice to always have some on hand

Things that you make at home are pretty much always better, and most are worth taking the time to make. I’ve been making my own yogurt for the past month or so, and I don’t think I’ll ever buy it again. Homemade yogurt is incredibly easy to make and way better than the store-bought stuff. Same goes for hummus!

Yeah I definitely agree with that. I used to buy a lot of prepacked food and fast food, but moving away from that made me feel a lot better and also just enjoy what I’m eating more. I really only eat out once every couple weeks at this point

I’ve been using the recipe @TheCaconym shared with me a while ago. I play around with adding other things to it too sometimes
