It’s literally the only thing this country hasn’t fully accepted as the price of being “free.” US has basically stated at this point that dead children don’t matter as much as guns so all that’s left is the maternity ward with pregnant people and newborns specifically targetted.

If you think about it it really is a stupid place to go mass shooting. The chances that people will die before they get medical care are super low at a hospital. Like trying to grow carrots on a rabbit farm.
Mass shootings aren’t a reasonable means of addressing any actual problem. If you’re enough of a bastard to go shooting up random people you either have a grievance against a specific place or want to cause as much terror and distress as possible.
