It’s hard to tell from this angle what’s going on, but even in the worst case this would be easily fixable. Throw in some parks, community centers, occasional shops, trees along the roads with cycling infrastructure and bus lanes, maybe some light rail.
I guess what I’m saying is that somehow even CTRL-C CTRL-V buildings in a desert are somehow better than the American suburb.
