Sandy Hook was rapidly demolished too. While Columbine and the Aurora cinema are still up, when the victims are mostly that young the building is a special kind of tainted. I could go either way on this being related to the police shooting some or most of the kids.

Okay, let me give you a totally rational, non-conspiratorial reason this is happening - it’s a small town an absolutely noone would be cruel or unthinking enough to ask parents to return their kids to an elementary school where the child’s friends or family members were killed. It’s also Texas so they were likely planning to privatize the school system anyways.
