I’m from the Netherlands. I’m going to be staying in a big city for a few days some time soon. I’m in the closet, but I don’t need to be there… So that’s why I’m thinking about going. To be openly queer with others seems great. But I’m also young, aroace, autistic, & don’t drink… Shit, I’ve never been to a normal bar either, I don’t like em.

IG I could just go, not like I’d die. But I’d like to know your experiences. What should I expect?

I went to one once with some friends (DISCLAIMER: I am, sadly, not gay so weigh that with my experience), it was kind of dead at the time so I don’t know if it is the most formative experience but I found it super chill. I didn’t even talk to anyone but they all seemed nice, it’s the place people in general go when they just wanna vibe and don’t want to deal with toxic assholes like you get in regular bars. I’d say give it a try, and if you just sit for a bit and decide it’s not your thing that’s totally good. Whatever makes you :comfy: comrade
