Would you blow up a boat full of cops if it meant you had to sacrifice the cadre they were transporting, or a boat full of civilians? Bwahahahaheeheeheeheehee
Tbf in the movie IIRC his plan to force people to kill each other fails because each boat has moral people that convince the rest of the passengers to trust in the humanity of the people on the other boat.
But then again its a story written deliberately by a writer, you can write literally anything to prove your point if you are the writer and as long as you’re somewhat decent it usually lands.
Was it? Maybe i’m misremebering but i think the moral person was in the prisoners boat. In the “civilized people” boat they handed the detonator to a guy who said he would do it because he was willing to but then chickened out.
