In the US its a descriptor that refers to the lowest economic class, usually minorities or people who are viewed as dirty and lazy. Being “on wellfare” is to boomers a single step up from selling your body for drugs.
The idea that in the US people are violently opposed to good things doesn’t make the good things bad

I’m guessing this doesn’t include expenses like rent and maintaining a vehicle necessary to have that unskilled job in places like America?
