Scrolling through Facebook, a friend I know with a prestigious job at an INGO just unironically posted a “news story” from a DC think tank about how Russian forces are planning on stealing Ukrainian children to demoralize Ukrainian forces. The think tank is funded by defense contractors and you can read on the goddamn Wikipedia page that they advocate for increased military presence in foreign conflicts. How do you post anything like that and get to remain a serious person?

I work with a liz lad and he is naturally one of the worst people I’ve ever met; always pushing work off onto you, never reciprocates, prioritizes processes above results, and is fake-nice as hell. :warren-snake:

My former coworkers were like this and it’s what finally got me to give up Facebook. Think tank pieces? Critical thought? My brother in christ, you can’t even stop drooling over every single Disney trailer that comes out.
