I’m assuming it’s because they all have terrible hours from being exploited at work and have to leave super late. Also they always bring their entire family which I just assume is a family bonding thing, a buddy of mine always went shopping with his whole family

We’re not really a written rules type of community; after decades of terrorism by gringo intelligence agencies life is understood to be chaotic, control fleeting, “rules” are fluid and it is a given they are open to negotiation and exceptions honored.
What kind of psychotic person would lock out a family shopping for the week just because the clock was a little bit one way or the other? If they had to close they’d say something first, right?
Conversely if you’re in a store and the proprietor randomly announces he’s closing in the middle of the business day, that’s life.
