This reminds me of mental health care, where it’s important to diagnose people before treating them - because otherwise they don’t have the right billing code (lamo) and can’t get paid. The treatment could be literally the same, start on antipsychotics and do cognitive behavioral therepy for bpd/bipolar.

that’s why my only libertarian brainworm is that i would eliminate prescription only for drugs/medicine, literally takes less time to do research by yourself than to get diagnosed

I really do think that a future like Children Of Men (the movie but also the book) is quickly becoming closer and closer to reality
