Look I’m all for religious tolerance but the only way you can interact with a church that would prohibit people from getting HIV treatment is to steal all the precious metals and burn it down.
Folks, we love that health insurance is tied to employment, don’t we? We wouldn’t want M4A, because then you would lose your current insurance and gain nothing in return*!!
*We would gain better insurance, but still, we don’t want that!

r/atheism has had an amazing redemption arc this year
(or at least the political environment has changed in a way that greatly affirms it)
I’m not saying the subreddit has improved at all, I’m just saying that with all of the court rulings this year that have been favorable to the Christian right, it’s kind of been a reminder to a lot of people that “oh yeah, the Christofascists really are as awful as Bill Maher, Richard Dawkins, etc. said they were”. So “Reddit atheism” and “new atheism” don’t seem as cringe as they did 5-6 years ago.
Are they going to add prostate exams done by male doctors as well? You know, cause that’s kinda gay.
