Anyway let me tell you why China is a dystopian dictatorship literaly 1984 and why you should not get a Chinese phone.
They are projecting so hard. Netflix released a documentary a few months ago that upset me so much. They were discussing the alleged totalitarian surveillance in China and then they flip back to the United States and they cover a Baltimore apartment block (predominantly black) which had cameras and keycard scanners and consistently used their access and video data to fine them hundreds of dollars.
so… did it at least do the job of showing Americans how fucked their own country is?

Yes, exactly. Don’t download TikTok because you’re giving your information to the Chinese. Meanwhile, the government is literally buying our location data to use in their databases. But that’s fine, because as long as we’re not doing anything wrong, we shouldn’t fear our own government, right??
